So it's been quite an eventful weekend.
On Friday we went for Aureus Experentia. It was a little boring. But a few songs were quite nice. =) Like the first one, and the last one, and the one right before the interval (2nd movement). Hahaha.
The highlight came after the performance, cause a few of us decided to explore Fullerton. It is BEAUTIFUL. I <3 the revolving doors! The place almost makes me wanna go for prom!
Almost.
And yesterday was great, cause I went to watch
X-Men III with my darling cousins. It's quite a nice movie. But I was giggling most of the time. I think I ruined the movie for Lou 'cause of that. But Lou was scary too. She nearly killed me when Wolverine first appeared. (I admit Wolverine is hot la. As are a lot of the other guys in the movie. STILL. Hahaha. Then again, I think we're both going to elbow each other to death if we watch HARRY POTTER V together. *coughDracoMalfoycough*)
Anyway, I was laughing because of the plot/movie cliches. *possible spoilers*
cliche #1: The mentor/teacher/kindly-guardian stereotype, usually male, always dies.
cliche #2: The good character-turned-bad will always die being killed by a teammate. Which most of the time happens to be a person who loves him/her.
cliche #3: When either of these two people die, there'll always be this long cry of anguish.
cliche #4: When either of these two people die, there'll always be this 'holy music' played (termed by Yue Zheng).
cliche #5: All the corny speeches made by Magneto. XP (Magneto is damn cute la!!! He made me giggle the most.)
cliche #6: The villains will always formulate strategies that ALWAYS, always have some very glaring and stupid loophole somewhere. It HAS to be like that, ma. If not, how the good guys win, right.
cliche #7: The good guys will always have this pre-showdown battle with the bad guys. In it, they always lose because of some very glaringly stupid reason. Then, suddenly, in the final showdown their intelligence level suddenly springs back to normal human standards and they win easily. (I'm talking about the Storm vs. whoever person la. =P)
ya la, ya la, I know, it's just a movie and I don't have to, like, read so much into it or whatever =P but very fun ma.
I don't like Spike. And Jean Gray.
I didn't really find the movie as sad as it should be. If you ask me, the saddest part happened right at the beginning. When Angel was trying to saw off his wings. Now that was the most powerful scene in the entire movie. =( (No, I am NOT mocking this time arouud, okay.)
But overall it was a good movie for the action and eye candy. Halle Berry is
so pretty as Storm this time around. =D Not to mention I've always liked X-Men!
Of course, though, it was have been a LOT closer to perfect if 1) They did justice to the comic (which they DIDN'T, they screwed up Rogue's character =( ) 2) if GAMBIT was in the movie! How could they cast him out la. Gambit is
so hot. T_T (on my cousin's copy of Marvel vs. Capcom, anyway)
(And did anyone think Iceman looks like Terence Cao? Did anyone notice the Harry Potter lookalike? Does anyone think Angel looks like Draco Malfoy and Pyro's attitude is like Draco Malfoy? waiiii~)
(I CAN'T WAIT TO GO SHOPPING!!)
